CHIPOTLE GUACAMOLE RECIPE

Avocados are fruit, not a vegetable. They have the highest protein content of any fruit. They also contain high level of potassium. Adequate intake of potassium can help to guard against circulatory diseases, like blood pressure, heart disease or stroke.  It is an important nutrient for healthy eyes.

A ripe, ready to eat avocado is slightly soft but should have no dark sunken spots or cracks. If you used a half portion of  ripe avocado, it is better
to store the remaining in the refrigerator. Store in a plastic bag, wrap with a plastic wrap, or place on a plate cover with plastic wrap.

It has Omega 3 in it. So my hubby asked me to make all time. Homemade guacamole is simple to make and taste so much better than the store bought. It is very healthy and tasty recipe.

Ingredients:
Avocado - 2-3
Fresh lime juice - 1 -2  Tbsp
Cilantro - 1/2 cup finely chopped
Shallots - 1 big
Garlic cloves - 2-3
Serrano chiles  - 2 large
Salt - 1/4 tsp

Method:
Remove the stem and seed from a fresh serrano chile and then chop it very finely.
Next remove the thick stems from cilantro and chop it very finely.
Chop the shallots very finely.
Squeeze the juice of lime in a small bowl.
Cut your avocados in half and remove the large seed.
Use a big spoon to remove the avocado from its skin, it will come out easily if it is ripe.
Put all your half in a large bowl and add  lime juice and mash it all with a fork, making it as smooth and soft.
Once the avocado is mashed stir in the onion, serrano chilli, cilantro, Garlic cloves and mash it well with a hand mixer.
Serve with roti or tortilla.
