Ingredients:
Onion - 1 medium
Mixed vegetables - 1 cup (carrot, potato, peas, corn)
Garam masala - 2 tsp
Milk - 1 tblspn
Poppy seeds - 1 tsp
Fennel seeds powder - 2 tsp
Salt to taste
To Paste:
Onion - 1/2
Green chillies - 4-5
Grated coconut - 1 tblspn
Method:
Soak poppy seeds in milk for 15 min and grind into paste and keep aside.
Heat oil add onion, green chillies, grated coconut and fry it for 10 min. Let it cool and grind into paste and keep aside.
In same pan heat some oil and add onion and fry till the onion turns pink color and then add the grounded mixture(onion,green chillies, coconut) and cook for 5-7 min.
Now add water,salt, garam masala and boil it for 10-15 min.
Then add mixed vegetables and cook it in low flame for 15-20 min.
Finally add the poppy seeds paste and fennel seed powder and cook it in low flame.
Garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve with Aapam, rice or roti.
Appam kurma looks so delicious....love to have this with hot appams...yummy!

ReplyDeletekurma sounds delicious ANu..athu frozen thaan..soak them in water for 1 hr scrap the outer layer a bit...bet u cant find the diff whtr its frozen or fresh...
